How it all began
What is now an established company began in 1969 with an idea: Martin Schnepel recognized trends in the field of consumer electronics early on and consistently translated them into innovative furniture concepts.
The first products were created under simple conditions – in a garage. But success was not long in coming. As early as 1975, Schnepel presented its solutions to a broad specialist audience for the first time at the Funkausstellung.
Further milestones followed as the company grew: The move to a former joinery and finally the construction of modern production and office premises in the Hüllhorst industrial estate in 1976.
Innovation from tradition
A new chapter began with the triumphant advance of flat screens: Schnepel reacted early to the changing requirements of modern living spaces and developed custom-fit furniture and mounting systems.
This innovative strength was also recognized: Schnepel received the renowned Plus X Award for the X-Line – proof of quality, design and sustainability.
